Apple iPod is vastly becoming the Napster of shared music because of the ease of data transfer. There isn’t really a whole lot the powers that be can do about it. To me it’s no different than the old cassette tape players recording the old albums.
iPods are here to stay and this site is primairily focused on the available options to download media from legal entities. What people do with it after downloading is beyond the scope of this site.

The current music download wave is in the direction of DRM free music downloads because the music industry is finally waking up to the fact that we don’t want our downloads we pay for to be cut off simply because we don’t want to continue to support their website.
No one can control all the technology like the old cassette tape players and the modern CD/RW’s, Compact Flash, Secure Digital and the other platforms.
It’s too big for anyone to control, even the great Microsoft.
Even Yahoo! Music is now in the process of shutting down because they found it’s unprofitable to maintain a DRM coded membership music download site.
iTunes is also making changes to the DRM coded music philosophy. It flat out doesn’t work!
So take a look at the music download sites I have on this site, and just be careful about sharing your music.
Times and technology are changing fast! And pretty soon the powers that be won’t be able to do a thing about it!
